Weddings

All package pricing is based on a 15 hour room rental unless stated otherwise. Yes, that means you have unlimited access from 9:00am to midnight, the day of your event!  If the room is available the day prior we will make every effort to allow you time for decorating after 12:00pm that day. We have partnered with professional florists, wedding curators, salons, bakers, limousine services, and caterers to help assist you in your planning; contact us for those local recommendations. 

Meetings, and Parties

The Legacy Opera House is the perfect place for your meetings and gatherings. We can accommodate groups of up to 200 people, with over 100 parking spaces along Front St. & Central St. in the beautiful, quaint town of El Paso, Illinois. Located just 19 miles from Bloomington/Normal, 32 miles from Peoria, 72 miles from Champain/Urbana, 85 miles from Springfield, and 124 miles from Chicago. Easy access to airports, lodging, dining, and entertainment. Inquire about local airbnb, we have insider knowledge on breathtaking rooms!

RENTAL POLICIES

 

General Policies:

Opera House Usage Procedures

A signed contract and $1,500.00 non-refundable deposit is required to secure reception date. After verifying availability and meeting with the Event Manager you may put in your deposit via check, cash, or with the secure paypal checkout button above. 

All rental fee balances must be paid in full at least 30 days prior to the event date.

Cancellations:

Cancellations must be made in writing to the Event Coordinator. The initial $1,500 fee is non-refundable regardless of when your event is cancelled. Cancellations made within 30 days of your event will forfeit the entire rental fee minus any additional services you booked.

 

All state and local fire and safety codes as well as OSHA regulations must be followed for your event.

No smoking is permitted in the facility. Smoking is permitted in the courtyard.

Guide animals are welcome on-site. No other animals are allowed in the facility without approval.

No tape/adhesives are to be used on seats, tables, or painted surfaces in/outside the facility without the approval of the Event Attendant or Special Events Manager.

No screws, nails, etc. are to be driven in any part of the facility.

Banners, mirror balls, etc. desiring to be hung from the ceiling must have the approval of the Event Attendant or Special Events Manager.

Smoke machines/hazers may be allowed with permission of the Special Events Manager.

Open flames are not allowed in the facility. (except floating candles, enclosed candles)

The Opera House staff must approve all deliveries of rented items for your event.

All articles brought into the facility for your event must be removed at the close of the event.

Rooms not stated as being rented by the contract are to be considered unavailable.

No rice throwing during wedding receptions is allowed (birdseed, bubbles, etc. is permitted outside).

All items and large trash must be removed at the close of your event and placed in appropriate area.

The contract event end time should be considered the point at which everyone has left the facility. Failure to comply with this regulation will result in additional charges of $300/hr. 

Pay it forward!

From time to time we have decorations available for your use, graciously donated by former guests. Inquire if that interests you!

Groups wishing to donate wedding decor for future guests are welcome to do so with the approval of the Event Attendant or Special Events Manager.

Food & Alcohol Policies:

Great news, we are BYOB!  Groups may choose to have their events catered (we have some amazing local recommendations) or may supply their own food and beverages. 

Diversity:

The Opera House is not available to groups who advocate the use of violence, or discriminate explicitly or implicitly against any race, gender, sexual orientation, religious or ethnic group.

 

Insurance Policies:

Liability insurance is required for all events. You may provide a certificate of insurance by  (a) an extension of your homeowner's policy; (b) your business liability policy; or (c) purchasing a special event policy. You must provide this certificate 30 days prior to the date of your event.

 

Kitchen & Main Room Policies:

Great news: we do all of the cleaning for you! You and your guests get to come, celebrate, then leave with a happy heart, while our attendants do the pickup. Take out whatever decor you brought in and want to keep; we will dispose of the rest, or send to the pay it forward room.

General Information:

A production meeting may be required for all facility rentals that are to include outside vendors such as caterers, D.J’s, and such no later than one week prior to the event.

The renter as listed on the contract will hold full responsibility of the event happenings unless someone else has been designated. All changes in time, setups, etc. will only be executed upon their request.
